James Jones

James, age 83, of Center Point, AL, passed away March 26, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Holsomeback Jones; two sons, Jimmy D. Jones (Peggy) & James E. Jones, Jr. (Debbie); two daughters, Pam Oden (Mike) & Jamie Huckestien (Donny); five sisters, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Jones Liddle and Ed Jones; two brothers and two grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. James served as a deacon & Sunday School Teacher at Clearview Baptist Church. He also, served as Financial Secretary of Local 256 GMP Union. He retired from U.S. Pipe after 40 years of service. His visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00PM till 7:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Trussville. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville.
