James Higgins

James L. Higgins, 93 of Birmingham, formerly of Knoxville TN passed away on December 4, 2009. James retired after over 40 years of service with Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Belle B. Higgins; brothers, Walter, Forrest and Fred Higgins. Survivors include his brother, Frank Higgins of Reno, Nevada and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6 beginning at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Graveside services at 3:00 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family would like to thank Joell Miller, Private Duty Director at St. Martins in the Pines along with his sitters, Sandra and Karen for their support through this difficult time and a special thanks to Dr. Bruce Pava.
