James Harris

James Ray Harris, Sr., age 90 of Shelby, AL passed away on November 7, 2011. He was born on August 16, 1921. He was a member of South Shelby Baptist Church. He was a 50 year Mason and a member of the South Shelby Masonic Lodge #140. He was also a member of the Local Sheet Metal union #48. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mavory Harris, 11 sisters and brothers, and grandson, Tim Robbins, Sr. He is survived by his children, Sandra Hogeland (Clifford) of Elberta, AL, James Ray Harris, Jr. (Ann) of Moody, AL, and Glenda Carole Robbins (Doug) of Shelby, AL; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his sweetheart, Kay Clower. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 5 to 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial and burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Tom Minor will be officiating over the services. Pallbearers will be his Masonic brothers. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
