James Godwin

James R. "Jim" Godwin, age 73 of Birmingham, passed away on February 21, 2012. He served in the US Air Force. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1958 and attended Jefferson State Community College as well as UAB. He is survived by his wife, Shirley G. Godwin; daughters, Laurie Godwin (Carl) and Kathy Williams (Jason); grandchildren, Charlie and Anna Grace Williams; brother-in-law, Tom Green (Karen); as well as his granddog, Max "Mud Pie." Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25 at 12:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitatioin will be an hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Reverend Mahlon Felkins will officiate the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
