James L Canady

James Larry Canady, 73, of Starkville, MS, passed away on August 16, 2020. He was born April 13, 1947 to Hoytt and Lula Canady in Birmingham, AL. James grew up in Springville and Trussville areas and graduated from Hewitt-Trussville. He was a proud army veteran who served during the Vietnam war. James was a loving father, husband and friend.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Hoytt and Lula. He is survived by his wife, Donna, of 42 years, his daughter Crystal; his sister Marlene of Birmingham; brothers Morgan (Nancy) of Texas, Felton (Marie) of Birmingham and Eugene of Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, Alabama Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 1 - 2 PM. Funeral services will be at 2 PM with a graveside to follow.

Donations can be made in James’ name to the “Michael J Fox Foundation” located at www.michaeljfox.org to aid in the research and search for a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
