James Allen "Buster" Brown, Sr., age 89 of Trussville, AL passed away on August 6, 2017. He lived in Trussville for 57 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church Trussville for 52 years, where he served as a Deacon Emeritus and worked with the youth for many years. He graduated from Cleburn County High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1948. He graduated from the University of Alabama. He worked for Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical for 38 years. He was a Shriner and a member of the Georgiana Davis Lodge #338 F&AM. He was an avid Alabama fan and attended Alabama football and basketball games for over 60 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Bartlett Brown; father, T.J. Brown; mother, Etta Wilson Brown; brother, Troy Brown; sisters, Irma Travis and Jessie Brown. He is survived by his son, James Allen Brown, Jr.; daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Brown. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM at First Baptist Church, Trussville. Services will follow at 12 PM at the church. The burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Buddy Champion will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to EPIC Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Trussville and the Big Oak Ranch. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
