Jackie Lake

Mr. Jackie O. Lake, 89, of Moody AL passed away on July 1, 2016. He was born on August 30, 1926 to the late David and Trischel Lake in Trafford, AL. He was a devoted member of New Life Baptist Church and was retired after 40 years from Post Welding Supply. He is preceded by his parents, brothers, Ernest Lake, Vester Lake, Eugene Lake, and George Lake, and sisters, June Drake and Frances Payne. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrtle Lake, children, Debra Parsons (Steve), Carol Phillips (David), and Ronald J. Lake (Annette), grandchildren, Kelli Lancaster (Justin), Patrick Lake (Mary), Abbey Phillips (fiancAC. Morgan Freeman), and Scott Phillips, great-grandchildren, Riley Lake, Eric Lake, Meagan Lake, and Jade Lancaster, and sisters, Emma Jean Day and Mary Simmons. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, AL with Pastor Norman Lecroy officiating. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
