Jack Womack

Jack Alexander Womack, age 87 of Trussville, AL passed away on January 2, 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Trussville, AL. After graduating from Auburn, Mr. Womack went to work with TVA in Knoxville, TN. He later moved to Birmingham, AL where he went to work with Rust Engineering. He then went to work with B&K where he retired in 1985. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. and Lulu Harbin Womack, his sister, Jean Womack Jenkins, and his daughter, Barbara Womack Landmon. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Lokey Womack; son, William Vernon Womack; grandchildren, Melissa Lynne Harris (Hudson), Nathan Landmon, Daniel A. Womack, and Heather Womack Pugh (William); great grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Harris, James Pugh, and Jaycee Pugh; many nieces and nephews. Parlor services will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Bobby Erwin will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranches, 15 Ira Hanks Dr., Pell City, AL 35128.
