Jack S. Briggs, Sr.

March 21, 1930-March 8, 2014

age, 83, of Mountain Brook, AL passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center. Mr. Briggs graduated from Jefferson County High School, and he was a faithful member of Gardendale First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his late wives, Claire A. Briggs and Julia J. Briggs; parents, Herman J. Briggs and Pearl E. Briggs.

He is survived by his only son, Jack S. (Janie) Briggs, Jr., of Mountain Brook; his two daughters, Patti (Bill) Bolen, of Birmingham, and Diane (Brian) Rodgers, of Opelika, AL; his two grandchildren, Kristin and Kevin Bolen.

Visitation will be held on, Tuesday, March 11th at Jefferson Memorial from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service for Mr. Briggs will be at Jefferson Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 12th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. Brother George Weeks is officiating.
