J Davis

J. W. Davis lost his life to a long battle of cancer September 26, 2009. He was born November 22, 1938 and overcame polio at the age of 5 years. J.W. Davis retired in February 2009 after 20 years of service with Jefferson County in the roads and Transportation Department. He is preceded in death by both his parents and three brothers. Survivors include his three sisters, Ms. Mackie Moore, Birmingham AL, Ms. Ola M. Fulton of Belleville IL and Ms. Martha Bradley, Orange CA; one sister in law, Ms. Myra Davis, Montgomery AL along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and especially the Claborn family. Visitation will be Monday, September 28 from 5:00 i�½" 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 29 at 1:00 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The City of Hope Cancer Center, Central Processing/Donations, 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte CA 91010 in honor of his sister, Martha Bradley.
