Isaac Hicks

Mr. Isaac Hicks, age 88, of Pinson, AL, went home to be with Lord on October 7, 2011. He was retired after 39 years of dedicated service at General Steel Tank Company as a crane operator. He also was a courier for South Trust Bank for over 10 years. He was a member of 10th Avenue Baptist Church. He served our country at Pearl Harbor in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving father who enjoyed flea marketing and collecting antiques. Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; as well as a brother and sister. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Hawkins and the late Bo; Lana Trest (Alan) and Shelley Jones (Jamie); sister, Lorene Hicks Reeves (Lee); brother, Samuel Hicks (Anne); grandchildren, Laura McLaughlin (Jack), Patty Hardy and the late Dana, Rashel Wallace Rogers (Allen), and Tony Gunn (Michelle); 5 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 12:00PM from the chapel of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the adjoining gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Bill Nichols State Veteran Home in Alexander City for the love and compassion.
