Irene Alexander

Mary Irene Smith Alexander, age 96, of Trussville, passed away November 7, 2015. She was a charter member of Center Point First United Methodist church; later a member of First United Methodist Church of Trussville. Irene was a member of Center Point Chapter No. 416 Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as past Matron and held other offices. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe P. Alexander, parents O.V. and Lelia Kate Smith, brothers Otis A. and Roy E. Smith. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, Nov 10, at 11am with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am until 11am. She is survived by her son Lawrence Alexander (Jane), grandson Joseph L. Alexander, Jr (Amanda), and numerous extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your favorite charity.
