Howard Robinson

Howard Farrell Robinson, age 80 peacefully passed away at his residence in Shelby County, AL on Thursday, October 12, 2010. All his family were able to say their private goodbyes. Mr. Robinson was born June 1, 1930 in Jemison, Chilton County, AL to William Ervin Robinson and Elouise Delila Ellison Robinson.

He is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Mary Annena Adams Robinson; three sons and three daughters; Farrell Eugene Robinson, Lee Robinson (Cheryl), Rodney Robinson, Kim Robinson Dismukes, Kapi Robinson Cole (Lee) and Ann Robinson Sims (Danny); a daughter-in-law, Debra Jones Robinson; and one brother, Carlton Robinson (Jean). Ten grandchildren will dearly miss their loving Granddad: Toney Robinson Peer (Harrison), Thomas Farrell Robinson, Sharrie Annena Robinson, Kapi Dismukes Ferrell (Ryan), Keri Dismukes, Ervin Lee Robinson, Jr (Karen), Jennifer Robinson Sampayo (Justin), Parker Sims, Taylor Sims, and Kallie Sims. Mr. Robinson is survived by six great grandchildren. Most of his life, Mr. Robinson worked in the grocery industry and retired as marketing director from Bruno's Supermarkets, Birmingham, AL. Since retirement, he enjoyed his association with Integrated Medical Systems. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Hwy US 11, Trussville, AL. Officiating at the Catholic Funeral Liturgy Mass are Monsignor Eugene O'Connor and Father Joseph Culotta. The services are scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010, 11:00 AM at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7340 Cahaba Valley Road (Hwy 119), Birmingham, AL with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL. Pallbearers are his grandsons and the husbands of his granddaughters.
