Houston Meadows

Mr. Houston Meadows, 90, of Argo, passed away on November 14, 2016. He was born on July 11, 1926 to the late Samuel and Allie Meadows. Mr. Meadows retired from the United States Postal Service and served in the U.S. Navy in WWII in the Pacific. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Reba Cleo Veal Meadows, and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons, James (Marie), David (Joanne), and Richard (Rhonda), grandchildren, Charles, Ashley, Taylor, Andrew, Daniel, Sara, Morgan, and Courtney, great-grandchildren, Ava and Alexander, brother, S.T. Meadows, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville with Reverend Daniel Courington officiating. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
