Hope Hickman

Hickman, Hope Suzanna, 23 of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She attended Carroll County Schools in Carrollton, GA until her illness, transferred to Trussville City Schools until a tornado destroyed her home, then transferred to Hoover City Schools where she completed attendance. Predeceased by her maternal grandmother Carol Kincaid Wheat of Birmingham, AL; grandmothers: Carolyn Jane Bruce and Rinda Drake Bruce of St Petersburg, FL; Survivors include mother Jane Wheat Bruce (Hunter) of Birmingham, AL; father Michael Vaughn Hickman of Opelika, AL; siblings: Haley Hickman, Hannah Grace Hickman, Ryan Hickman (Pam), Courtney Hickman Farley (Austin), Cameron Bruce, Camille Bruce, Grant Bruce; grandparents: Bob Wheat, Arthur Leslie Hickman (Roma), Sandra Dowdy Bell, Michael Shugg Bruce; aunts/uncles: Jared Wheat, Ginger Key (Greg), Nathan Hickman (Beth), Stephanie Stuck (Colin), Scott Bruce (Sondra); niece Eleanor Hope Farley; cousins: Kaitlyn Wheat, Micah Key, Caroline Key, Caleb Key, Josh Hickman (Tammy), Sam Hickman(Kristina), Seth Hickman (Kim), Jamie Hickman, Catherine Orr, Alister Stuck, Malcolm Stuck, Kane Bell, Stone Bruce, Braxton Bruce, Katie Reid Williamson. Visitation will be at NorthPark Baptist Church Trussville on Sunday, July 29 from 2:00- 5:00 and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:30. The graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial on Monday at 10:00 for Hope’s close friends and family. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting contributions to Lakeview Baptist Church which will be used for mission work in Uganda, for Hope felt called to missions in Africa. She will be able to fulfill her calling through your giving.
