Pat Windsor Helm, died on January 5, 2014, after a wonderful life with her family and friends. She was born in Randolph C., Alabama on February 26, 1926 to Dicie Camp Windsor and Henry Clay Windsor. As a registered nurse over 40 years, she graduated at the top of her class from Norwood School of Nursing under the tutelage of Ida V. Moffet, for whom the School of Nursing at Samford University is named. She proudly served in the Nursing Corp of Cadets during WWII and as supervising nurse at Carraway, Hilman, East End, UAB, and Spain Hospitals and for Dr. William Doggett, Sr. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. Helm, Jr., son, Bobby, daughter, Pamela, her parents, brothers, Henry, Jr., Mitchel, and Ted Windsor, and all of her amazing aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi and her husband, Johnny Penuel and grandchildren, Paul Edmundson, Jr., Jacob Penuel, and Caitlin Edmundson. She cherished her extended family and will be missed by many friends and neighbors. Services will be on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services with a brief graveside prayer led by the "Right Reverend" Ragan Boling. We will all miss her stories!
