Morgan, Henry Odus, Jr. On July 9, 2018, Our Heavenly Father welcomed home one of his children, Henry Odus Morgan, Jr (94). Awaiting his homecoming are his loving wife Irene Boone Morgan, his parents Henry and Mellie (Westbrook) Morgan, Sr., and his sister Elizabeth Partain (Dalton, Sr.). Henry was a devoted member of St. John’s Episcopal Church for the Deaf. He was a longtime employee of The Birmingham News. Everyone that knew him remembers that he always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. Henry will be missed by his loving children, Henry B. Morgan (Jeanette), Danny Morgan (Jo Ann), and Roberta Hoffman (Pete); his sister Margaret Ann Choat; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In celebration of Henry’s life, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church (3775 Crosshaven Drive). Graveside immediately to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Marianne D. Stuart will be officiating.
