Henry Clapp

Henry A. Clapp, age 81 of Birmingham, AL passed away on February 22, 2010. He was a member of Metropolitan Church of God. He was a member of the Masonic Center Point Lodge. He graduated from West End High School and Auburn University. He retired from Jim Walter Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army. He competed in rifle competition during and after his military service. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Clapp; daughters, Lori Powell (Frank) of Chattanooga, TN and Darlene Flowers (Bob) of Birmingham, AL; sister, Mabel; six grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Rev. Paul Podraza officiating the services. The family would like to give special thanks to Rocky Ridge Senior Living on Lorna Road and Angel of Mercy Elder Care for their love and support during the last two and half years.
