Helon Shrader

Mrs. Helon Elizabeth Shrader, age 81 of the Friendship Community died Sunday, March 23, 2014 with her family at her bedside. Helon loved working in her flower garden with her capabilities of getting anything to grow, she loved bowling, The Atlanta Braves and Auburn Football. She loved being with her family as she celebrated her birthday on the 4th of July. Traveling to the beach and Sunday mornings watching Joel Osteen were other enjoyments in the life of Helon. She also loved Lori's two dogs, Bogey and Sweetie. Helon is survived by her two daughters, Lori Thompson Dollar (Frank) and Liana Thompson Welch (Mike); three sons, Frankie Thompson (Susan), Randy Thompson (Eva Jo) and Bobby Thompson (Angie); her stepdaughter, Sandra Shrader Moore (Billy) four sisters, Mable Fitts, Alice McCollum, Johnnie Munn and Ira Mae Howard; one brother, Charles Crenshaw; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Shrader will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Jefferson Memorial of Trussville directing the services.
