Helen Watson

Helen “Marie” Garrett Watson, age 75, of Locust Fork, AL passed away on July 16, 2021. She was a native of Birmingham, AL and a graduate of Woodlawn High School class of 1964. She was the proud business owner of Marie’s Draperies. She was well known throughout the Birmingham area for her fine work, integrity and professionalism. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. Marie will be remembered for her fun-loving personality. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Vynson Garrett and Hattie Enda Camp Garrett Parr; her brothers, Gene, Carl and Edward Garrett. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John Nolan Watson; her children, John Vynson Watson, Melissa Marie Watson Boshell and Samuel Sherman Watson (Alisha); grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Watson, Daniel Wayne Baker (Crystal), William Levi Baker, Garrett Warren Baker, Julia Marie Watson, Benjamin Samuel Watson, Elizabeth June Watson; one great grandchild, Isabella Grace Baker. Marie is also survived by her bonus daughter, Deborah Lee Davis and three bonus great grandchildren, Connie, Mina and Tiffany. Family and friends will gather at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at on Wednesday, July 21st. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will immediately follow.
