Helen Vivian Roach Walker,

Nov. 28, 1925-April 13, 2014

Helen entered peacefully into the presence of her beloved savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Palm Sunday.

Helen was a resident of Saint Martins in the Pines where she had many beloved friends. She was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church for many years and Liberty Park Baptist Church. Helen was loved by all who knew her. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family, friends, and all those she knew with all her heart and demonstrated that love in countless thoughtful and precious ways all her life. She was a shining example of Christ and all his grace and love to all that knew her. Helen will be greatly missed and her memory treasured by us all.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Menter Gordon Walker, Jr.; her mother, Viola Roach; father, Duston Roach; brothers: David Roach, John Roach, and Paul Roach.

She is survived by her sons, Rex Walker (Dewana) and Randy Walker (Belinda); daughter, Sallie Walker Brasfield (Terry); four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother; two sisters and many extended family and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 16th at 2pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville. Reverend Larry Walker and Dr. Wayne Scott are officiating.
