Helen Laney

Helen Moore Laney, age 92 of Pinson, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was a retired legal secretary having worked for the firm of London, Yancey, Clark, and Allen for more than 30 years. She loved to travel and had been all over the world including Europe, Russia, Africa, China, and Israel. She especially loved Mexico. She was preceded by her husband, Hursley Laney, Jr.; son, Robert Allison Laney; and sister, Peggy Trimbach. She is survived by her daughters, Julia Whisonant (Charles) and Lilla Nesmith; sister, Mary Clements; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 1 to 2PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will begin at 2PM with burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
