Helen Kelly

Kelly, Helen Clara Mullins, age 95, of Birmingham, AL, died Saturday April 28, 2012. Helen was born in Andalusia, AL on January 24, 1917 to parents Rebecca Izora and Clifford Lonza Mullins. Her exuberance and kind heart endeared her to everyone she met, and her selfless devotion to helping those in need was a hallmark of her character. Above all, Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Burton Francis Kelly; sisters, Ruth, Erma, and Elizabeth; brothers, Clifford, Jr., William, Edgar, and Jimmy. Helen is survived by daughter, Rebecca Bradley; grandson, Winston Bradley, III, and his wife, Melissa; sister-in-law, June Mullins (Jimmy); niece, LaDell Sexton; nephew, James Mullins, and his wife Shirley; and numerous great-nieces and nephews across Georgia and Alabama. The family will be welcoming friends at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Hwy in Trussville, AL on Wednesday May 2, from 11AM to noon with chapel services following immediately. Interment will take place at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, AL. The family would like to extend thanks to all the doctors and nurses who provided Helen with such great care over the years.
