Helen Fay Cofer Hughes, age 76, of McCalla, Alabama passed away on Saturday, Oct 18, 2014. She was a former employee of BTMB Bank and also worked as a court reporter for the Bankruptcy Court of the city of Birmingham. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Birdie and Bill Cofer; brother, Kenneth Cofer; former husbands, Johnny L. Andrews and John Rodgers. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Joseph D. Hughes; daughters, Dana Wideman (Randy), Tracy Andrews Hudson (Linn) and Kimberly Gannon (Justin); step-sons, Doug Hughes (Theresa) and Jim Hughes; grandchildren: Jon, Chris, Keith and Kevin Wideman, Shannon West (Tyler), Christian-Taylor (Kelsey), Madeline-Lea Camardella (Devon) and Adam Duncan Gannon, Katie, Derek, Amber and Shawn Hughes, and Jeremy and Jimmy Hudson; great grandchildren: Will and Cooper Wideman, and Ryland and Avalyn West; special loving friends: Tony Camardella, Linda Burks, Rose Tennyson and Rohani Gay. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21st at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville with Jefferson Memorial directing. Brother Larry Bonner is officiating. A special memorial service will be held at Woodstock Baptist Church of Woodstock at 2:00 p.m. following graveside.
