Helen Burnette

Elizabeth "Betty" Penuel Burnette age 88 of Birmingham, passed away on February 17, 2012. She is fondly remembered by many in the Roebuck community where she was employed for thirty years in a local medical practice and was a dedicated supporter of Dixie Youth Baseball. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and committed friend. Betty is predeceased by her first husband, Searcy Penuel and infant daughter Debra. She is survived by her husband, Al Burnette; children: Steve Penuel (Rita), Johnny Penuel ( Mitzi), Janice Ingram (Denniss), Chuck Penuel (Kristi); her brother Charlie Ellis (Ann); 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 5-7 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville. A family graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm On Monday, February 20, 2012.
