Helen Abernathy

Helen P (Nall) Abernathy May 16, 1924 – September 6, 2022

Helen Abernathy passed away at her home in Foley, Alabama on September 6, 2022.  Helen was born in Wilsonville. She attended Jones Valley HS in Birmingham. Her hobbies included gardening and quilting. Her career took her to Hays Aircraft as an illustrator in the publications department which led her later to the Department of Cardiology at UAB where she retired in 1989. Living in Foley, AL her last 15 years near family she spent most of her time gardening, quilting, reading, and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lila and John Nall of Huffman, sisters, Margaret Murphy and Juanita Collins, brother, Harold Nall, husbands James Glenn Inzer (1958) and Herbert Lee Abernathy (2002). She will be deeply missed by her daughters Lynda Inzer Hinkle and Janice Inzer McKenzie (Donnie), her son, Johnny Inzer (Linda), her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sisters Mildred Nall Stokes, Joan Nall Herren, and her brother, Layne Nall.

Graveside service will be held on September 13th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville at 12:00 noon.
