Hazel “Marie” Whittle (83) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was everyone’s “Mawmaw.” But, that wasn’t just who she was. She was a homemaker, she loved to cook and come up with recipes. Marie was always in the kitchen making something new to share with her beloved husband. She crafted many incredible things, everything she made was made with love. She gifted many crochet blankets to her grand and great grand kids and made quilts for many people. She loved house plants and with her special touch, she could make anything grow. If it wasn’t for Marie, none of her family would have a lot of photos. She had a love for taking pictures of everyone and scrap booking. During the summer, one of her favorite things to do was can. She was always looking forward to Gatlinburg and gambling trips with her sisters and brother. Marie had a gift for making others feel special, and her warmth will live on in our hearts. Though, she is no longer with us, her spirit, love, and legacy will continue to shine.
Marie went to join Jesus on January 30th 2025 at age 83.
