Hazel Stephens

Hazel , a loving, caring wife and mother age 92, of Springville, Alabama, passed away December 6, 2016, with her devoted husband Billy A. Stephens of 65 years by her side. She was preceded in death by her sweet son, Larry A. Lowe. Hazel is survived by daughters, Janet (husband Keith) Short, and Carol (husband Steve)Laney, and Brenda Lowe (Daughter in Law); Grandchildren include John McDonald, Rachel Laney, Jennifer Sproul, and Kimily Hall.; Great-grandchildren include Shaun McDonald( Michele McDonald, Shaun's Mother), Zachary Sproul, Valarie Sproul, Kinley Hall and Kason Hall; and a host of other dear family and friends.The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heartfelt ways. Special thanks to Hazel's home caregiver, Cindy McGinnis for her endless loyalty and loving care for so many years. Graveside service will be held on December 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, Al 35235
