Harry Whatley

Mr. Harry O'Neal Whatley, age 81, of Birmingham, Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Friday, February 27, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a wonderful Godly man who was cherished and loved. He was born in Skipperville, Alabama. He joined the United Sates Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and earned his CPA License. He was a partner at Dudley, Hopton-Jones Sims and Freeman, where he worked for 53 years. He was a dedicated member of Brookview Wesleyan Church where he held the position of Treasurer for over 30 years. Mr. Whatley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Tillman Whatley, their daughters Deborah Whatley Stephenson (Frankie) and Rhonda Whatley Kelly (Bryan) and their grandson Duncan Reed Kelly. He had six surviving brothers and sisters with two deceased. The funeral of Mr. Whatley's life will be at 12:00pm on Monday, March 2. Family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm. Jefferson Memorial Trussville will be directing.
