Harry Dedman

Harry Dan Dedman, age 77 of Birmingham, AL passed away on July 21, 2015. Harry graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy and attended UAB. He served in management while he was employed by South Central Bell for several years before transferring to AT&T where he retired. Harry was a member of CrossPoint Baptist church where he served as a deacon. Harry had a passion serving god and truly enjoyed being a part of his Sunday school class. Harry enjoyed golfing, traveling and watching Alabama sports, but mostly enjoyed being a part of his church. Harry is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tommie Ann Gardner. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy J. Dedman; daughter, Dana Denise Thorn (Al); son, Michael Lane Dedman (Victoria); six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24th at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with visitation two hours prior to the service. Reverend Steve Parr is officiating. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville is directing.
