HARRIS, HARRIET SKELTON

age 92, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013. She was a long-time member of Crestway Baptist Church. She had a passion for teaching children and served as a Sunday school teacher to four and five year olds for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dorothy Harris; her husband of 65 years, Kilby F. Harris, Sr.; two sisters and six brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Salter (Larry) and Charlotte Estes; son, Kilby Harris, Jr. (Carol); five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; four sisters and one brother. Visitation will be Sunday night from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Funeral Service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2013. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Crestway Baptist Church or Affinity Hospice Services. The family would like to give a special thank you to Crestway Baptist church for their prayers and support and to Affinity Hospice Services and Fair Haven Nursing Home for the care they provided to Harriet Harris.
