Harold Usrey

Harold Clifton “Cotton” Usrey, 71, of Birmingham, passed away on August 3, 2018 and went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family and friends. He served in the TRW 117th Air National Guard Unit for 34 years. He was a member of Palmerdale Cross Baptist Church. Harold was born on March 5, 1947 in Ohatchee, AL. Mr. Usrey is preceded in death by his parents, William Clifton Usrey and Edna Clem; his sister, Joyce Yancey; and his brother, Wallace Usrey. He is survived by his wife, Helen Usrey; his daughter, Candice U. Sayer (Jeremy); his son, Rodney W. Usrey (Karen); sisters, Ruth Dement, Charlotte Carr, and Teresa Bradshaw; brother, Glenn Usrey; grandchildren, Riley W. Usrey, Jacob Z. Sayer, Maddie Sayer, Zaine Usrey, and Sophie Sayer. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Mr. Herman Pair and Mr. Eddie Adams officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
