Harold Ervin, Sr

Harold Frank Ervin, Sr also known as “Booger Red” or “Red” of Trafford, AL., was called home by his Lord and Savior on October 18, 2021 at the age of 79.

Born in Anniston, Alabama, Red lived in the Birmingham area for many years before moving to Blount County, AL., where he lived the remainder of his life for more than thirty years.  Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Estelle Ervin and first wife, Marilyn Ervin.  Red is survived by his Wife, Patricia Ervin; two step-children, Wanda Dillard (Bryan) of Hayden, AL., and Dale Gilham of Trafford, AL.; Mother-in-Law, Nora Sims of Cleveland, AL., who loved him as her own; Sister, Virginia Robertson of Oxford, AL.; three Grandchildren, Gary McDaniel (Jessi), Crystal Heaton (TJ) and Savannah Gilham; and, two Great Grandchildren Braxton and Madelyn.

Funeral will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL., Thursday, October 21, 2021 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and a Chapel service at 12:00 noon. Reverend James Pate officiating. Pall Bearers- Curtis Armstrong, Marvin Collier, Son-in-Law, Bryan Dillard, Grand Son-in-Law T.J. Heaton, Nephew Lance Newton and nephew Chase Newton.
