Gregory Potts

Gregory Alan Potts, age 50, of Birmingham, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 16, 2009. Greg was a loving son, a wonderful brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers at Southern Research Institute where he worked for 29 years. Greg made a difference in all of his co-workers lives with his sweet demeanor, easy smile and positive outlook on life. He will be truly missed by all 500+ employees that he encountered on a daily basis. Greg was preceded in death by his father, James Potts. He is survived by his mother, Alma Davis Potts of Birmingham, brother James Stanley Potts (Ann), niece Shelley Taylor (John), nephew, Jeffrey Alan Potts (Monika) great nieces Emily Taylor and Riley Potts, great nephews Jack Taylor and Ryan Potts, all of Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2009 from 1 to 2PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be following at 2 PM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Jim Hill will be officiating the services for Mr. Potts.
