Grady Roger Waldrop passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 76 after a long illness. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed making people laugh. Roger lived in Fayette, AL, Ocilla, GA and moved to Birmingham, AL in 1965. He worked as a contractor for the railroad and owned a grocery store in Odenville, AL. Roger was preceded in death by his son, Greg Waldrop; parents, Woodrow and Adelle Waldrop; sisters, Frances Craig and Faye Dillard; brother, Dwight Waldrop. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brand Waldrop; son, Glen (Shea) Waldrop; seven grandchildren, Victoria and Britney Waldrop, Madison, Emma and Ella Waldrop, Andrew and Olivia Carroll; sister, Norma Gay (Herman) Landsdale; sister-in-law, Corinne (Paul) Prewitt; brother-in-law, Eddie Craig and many nieces and nephews. He loved to spend his time gardening and working on the farm. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. and funeral service following at 2 p.m. to be held at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, AL. Reverend Robert Dabydeen will be officiating over the service.
