Grace Elms

Grace Latham Elms, age 88 was born on June 29, 1920 and passed away on December 10, 2008. She is a former member of Boyles Methodist Church and enjoyed making ceramic gifts for her fiends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Minnie Latham, her sisters, Sue (Leo) Owens, Lula Mae McCrea (Irvin), and Mauline (Bernard) Holly, and hr brothers, Tommy (Christine) Latham, Percy Latham, and Jerry (Ruth) Latham. She is survived by her son, Tommy (Barbara) Elms; grandchildren, Lisa Boone (Chad) and Thomas Elms, Jr. (Betsy); great grandchildren, Thomas Dane Elms and Micah Collins; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Joyce Johnson of Warrior, AL. Graveside service will be Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7pm. Dr. Marcell Burchfield officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at St. Vincent's East for her care.
