Gordon Stinson

Gordon R. Stinson, born in Philadelphia, PA May 22, 1933 passed away on March 1, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children, Nathan (Lisa), Rachael, and Rebekah(Scott); grandchildren, Mikayla, Micah, Kendra, and Ruthie. Gordon is also survived by two brothers, Robert and Byron. He was a honors graduate of Moody Institute and Michigan State University as well as a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship. Gordon spent six decades in service to his Lord and communities in Central Asia, the Middle East, and throughout Alabama and United States. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, March 7,2011 at 10am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Birmingham, AL and at 2pm at Gadsden First United Methodist Church. Internment is at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the People International www.peopleintl.org or to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
