Glenda Cleckler

October 1, 1936 — April 17, 2024

Glenda Gail Cleckler, 87, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus April 17, 2024. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she attended West End High School where she met her high school sweetheart Carroll Cleckler. The two were married and raised a family for 61 years. She worked for South trust and Health South where she retired. She was a faithful member of Berney Points Baptist Church. Her family, friends, and church were her greatest joy. Proverbs 31 describes her as well.

She is survived by daughter Wendy (Jerry) Jackson, grandson Daniel (Christina) Jackson, granddaughter Lexie (Jonathan) Van Dalen, granddaughter Erica (Mark) Dalbec, great granddaughter Abigail Kennedy and great grandson Noah Jackson, many nieces, nephews and is preceded in death by husband James Carroll Cleckler and parents Dalton and Ruby Collier.

Funerial service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, Alabama. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 with service at 2:00pm. Interment will be at the Abbey Mausoleum following service. 

Pallbearers will be Paul Turner, Chuck Cleckler, Jonathan Van Dalen, and Doug Roberts.
