Gladys Cottrell, age 79, was born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Birmingham, AL and passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014. She was a woman of great faith, and a devoted mother and wife. Gladys was a member of Life Fellowship Church in Kennedale. She ministered to those in jail and nursing home services. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, William Kenneth Cottrell Sr., and son, Bruce Randal; sister, Juanita Bishop. Survivors include her sons, William Kenneth Cottrell Jr., Thomas Doyce Cottrell and John Keith Cottrell; sister, Margaret Goodman; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM Saturday, April 19 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel followed by the burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
