Gladys Alverson

Gladys V. Alverson, age 100, of Birmingham, passed away July 6, 2009. She was an avid member of Roebuck Plaza Baptist Church. She worked at Dixie Hatchery and Alabama Mills for many years. She retired from AmSouth Bank where she worked in the Bond Department. She loved to sew and worked hard in her garden. Services will be Thursday July 9, at 2pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Reverend Jim Auchmuty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. She leaves behind her beloved pets, Buddy and Annie. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Greenbrier Retirement Community. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
