Bilodeau, Gilles "Bad News", 53 years old passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. He was born on July 31, 1955 and was raised in St. Prime, Quebec, Canada. He came to Birmingham playing professional hockey for the Birmingham Bulls. Here he met the love of his life, Debbie. Together they raised two sons. His passion in life was the love of his family, most especially his two grandsons. In raising his two sons, he was very active in sports and the outdoors. Here he instilled in them the quality of a love for life. His quick wit and unique sense of humor will be missed by all those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Therese Bilodeau. He is survived by his wife and sons, Debbie, Brian (Anna Maria), Brent (Lacie); and grandsons, Brooks and Lane, his brothers, Alain Bilodeau, Gervais Bilodeau, Yvan Bilodeau, Dany (Guyleine) Bilodeau, Dominique (Maryann) Bilodeau; his sisters, Claudine (Patrick) Clark, Louise Bilodeau, Odette (Alex) Marsh; his brother-in-law, David (Connie) Powell; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Chris) Smith; his parents-in-law, Arnold (JoNell) Powell; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2008 from 5 until 7p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
