George Post

George Post, 75 of Clay, Al passed away on May 12, 2018. He was born in Berlin, Germany and came to America at age 6. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York. George was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Huffman. He retired from the Social Security Administration after 40 years of service as a Claims Authorizer. George was a very proactive member of his community and enjoyed volunteering. He was also an active member of AFGE, NARFE and the Social Security Alumni. He loved the outdoors, baseball and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents, Nikoli and Alexandra Post. He was survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lotus Ann Post; four children, Thomas, Richard, Teresa and Amy Post; two grandchildren, Anastasia and Brandin and his sister, Tatiana Lugowski. The family will receive friends at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
