George Mason

George Ray Mason born in Huntingburg, IN on December 16, 1930, died on December 19, 2014. He served in the Korean War and was a retired 50 year member of P. and S.F. Local Union #91. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jane Mason; daughter, Carole M. Peoples; son, Keith Mason; father, George E. Mason; step-mother, Vuela M. Mason; mother, Irene M. Vickery; step-father, Earl Vickery; sister, Ruth Tieman; half-sisters, Peggy V. Mathis and Joy V. Gray; half-brother, Robert Vickery; nephews, Warren Herzog, Scott Mason, and Victor Bunt. He is survived by his son, David W. Mason (Susan); daughter, Norma M. Louria; grandson, Michael D. Mason; granddaughters, Alicia Gilmore, Susan G. Vasquez, Amanda P. Burks (Ashley), Heather P. Odom (Coby) and Chandler Abel; great granddaughter, Ayzlynn Jayna Burks; half-brother, Michael L. Mason; half-sister, Patti M. Kilby and 5 nieces. Services will be on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Amanda Burks, his granddaughter will officiate over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
