George Lynch

George Morgan Lynch, 72, of Trussville (formerly of Elizabethton, TN) was born on the 4th of July and passed away on Valentine's Day after a wonderful morning with his wife of 47 years, Murrill Jean Lyons Lynch. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and a US Army Veteran. He was a Deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Trussville and went on numerous missions trips with the church. George retired after 33 years from the City of Birmingham in Community Development. He was a troop leader with the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillian Lynch. He is survived by his wife, Murrill Lynch; daughters, Jean Lambert and her husband, Kerry, and Joyce Coburn, and grandchildren Alexandra and Zachary Coburn, and Michael Lambert; his mother-in-law Kate Lyons Ogle and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16 from 6:00 i�½" 8:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Celebration of his life will be Tuesday, February 17 at 10AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Champion officiating and burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
