George Hamilton

George Marvin Hamilton, age 85 of Trussville, AL passed away on August 22, 2012. He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Trussville, AL, where he taught the Brotherhood Sunday School Class. He retired from BellSouth Telephone Company after 40 years of service. He was the past president of the Telephone Pioneers. He served in WW II in the U.S. Navy on the Harry E. Hubbard. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanine Hamilton. He is survived by his children, Landis Munkus, David Hamilton (Cheryl), and Jill Hamilton; brother, Hugh Hamilton; grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Allison, Katie, Leanne, and Payton; great grandchildren, Logan, Summer, and Cameron. Services will be on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Mark Lacey will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
