George Franklin

George "Ed" Franklin, age 56, of Birmingham, passed away October 19, 2014. He was an avid golfer, Alabama Fan and loved carpentry. He is survived by his wife Suzanne; parents George D. and Louise M. Franklin; mother in law Ruth Smith; son Patrick D. Franklin (Jennifer); daughter Brooke F. M. Dobbins (Anthony); brother Glenn A. Franklin (Doris); grandchildren Zach and Evan Moore, Amanda, Allison Grace and Alyssa Louise Franklin; stepchildren Lance and Lindsey Mitchell and Amanda Horton; step grandchildren Brody and Cole Dobbins, Ethan and Cooper Horton, Kaylin Honeycutt, and many other family and friends. Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, Oct 22, at noon at Jefferson Memorial with burial in Pate's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Thorsby, Alabama. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
