Gary Isbell

Gary Jay Isbell, age 48, of Odenville, AL went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021. Jay was born on April 11, 1973 to Jim and Jeannette Isbell. He was the youngest of 12 children. He was a native of Hueytown, AL where he grew up and spent most of his life. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and brother. Jay had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He was an outgoing man who never met a stranger and was active in his community. Jay enjoyed drag racing in his spare time.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Kathy Bailey; two brothers, Donald and Jimmy Isbell;

He is survived by his loving wife of five years, Jennifer L. Isbell; his son, Corey Isbell and his fiancé, Taylor Nichols; stepson, Trip Oden; one grandson, Brantley Isbell; his brothers and sisters, Michael Isbell (Jane), Karen Fritz (Chet), Paula Hill (Hershel), Penny Isbell, Barry Isbell, Mark Isbell (Lisa), Kenneth Isbell (Lisa), Laura Price (Mike); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He also leaves behind his loyal companion of the past 11 years, Sadie Lynn.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Graveside will take place at Liberty Cemetery 15509 US-411 Odenville, AL 35120 on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Brother Jeff Isbell will preside over the services.
