Gary "Tom" Corvin died at home in Trussville, AL on June 4, 2016. He was a native of Oneonta AL and former resident of Houston, TX. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1960. He was a retired veteran that served during the Vietnam War. He spent time in Germany, England, Taiwan, and Vietnam, as well as, several other places statewide and abroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Earl Corvin and Norene Alexander; step-father, Claude Alexander; sister, Joyce Murphree; daughter, Terri Powers. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters, Jodie Real (Steve) and Debbie Fulghum (Robby); sons, John Powers (Susan) and Robert Powers (Jeanie); grandchildren: Terra, Stefanie, Patrick, Jeanette, Nicole, Raquel, Michael, Bobby, John Jr., Andrew, Tyler, Robert Jr. and Joe; 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 8th at 12 noon. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta. Brother Anthony Belew is officiating.
