Gary Bowers

Gary Allen Bowers, age 78, of Springville, Al, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024.  Gary was the Director of Pharmacy at St. Vincent’s East having 38 years of dedicated service before retiring. He was an avid Alabama fan and never missed a chance to cheer on the Crimson Tide.  Gary had a love for life and was a true thrill seeker.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and enjoyed music and artists from all decades. Gary leaves behind a legacy of loving with his whole heart not only his family but his pets. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Olivia Jett Bowers; daughters, Amy Bowers King (Derek King), Nancy Bowers Smith; grandchildren, Hannah King Wilks (Sam Wilks), Caleb Andrew King; last but not least his beloved dog Nicky.

 

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions in Gary’s name to Wounded Warriors, or the Greater Birmingham Human Society.
