After a courageous fight against cancer, Garry G. Vincent of Trussville passed away at home on March 30th surrounded by family and loved ones. Beloved husband of Diane Vincent and devoted father to Michael and wife Tiffany, Christina Oldacre and husband Adam, and Jonathan Vincent. Loving grandfather to Jacob Oldacre, Haley, Tia, and Tucker Gardner. He is also survived by his siblings Jerry and wife Suzie, Matthew and wife Heidi, and Carol Agee and husband Mitchell, as well as nieces Emily, Anna, and Bella and nephews Russ, Austin, Jace and Jake. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph W. Vincent and his mother Nellie J Lynn.
Garry was the Founder and President of Vincent Construction for 40 years. He was an active member and leader at LifeChurch Birmingham. He had a zest for life and didn’t allow his cancer diagnosis to steal his joy or his love for his family. He continued working and was always looking for a new project. Garry was a father-figure to many, committed to helping those in need, and a faithful friend. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on.
The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00 pm at LifeChurch Birmingham, 5567 Chalkville Mountain Rd, Birmingham.
The Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:45pm. Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 4th at 12:30pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL.
